  7. 4 Play is a Windows version of the classic Connect 4 (TM) game.
  8. See on line help for details of how to play.

  10. Installation instructions.

  13. You should have the following files:
  14.  
  15.     4PLAY.EXE       (The windows executable)
  16.     4PLAY.HLP       (The windows help file)
  17.     README.TXT      (This file)
  18.     REGFORM.TXT     (The registration form)
  19.     BWCC.DLL        (The Borland Custom Control Library, used by 4PLAY)

  21. 1) Copy BWCC.DLL to your \WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory.
  22.  
  23. Note. the above step is unnecessary if you already have a more recent copy
  24. of BWCC.DLL in your \WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory, check first.
  25.  
  26. 2) Copy all other files to a directory on your hard disk.
  27. eg. \GAMES\WINGAMES\4PLAY
  28.  
  29. 3) Run 4PLAY.EXE in the usual way.

  35. This means that you are free to distribute only unaltered and complete copies 
  36. of the program (i.e. ALL files MUST be included with any distribution of 
  37. 4 Play).

  39. If you like 4 PLAY and want to keep it you must register your copy.
  40. The easiest way to do this is by printing out and filling in the
  41. Registration Form (see REGFORM.TXT) and sending it with a cheque for
  42. 5.00 pounds (or if registering from outside the UK, an International
  43. Postal Money Order for 5.00 pounds sterling) to the address below.

  45. NOTE: This copy of 4 PLAY is full and complete, unlike a lot of shareware
  46. software that is distributed with certain features disabled and/or annoying
  47. shareware reminder screens. I have decided to distribute a 'clean' version 
  48. because I know how annoying reminder screens are. However this does mean that
  49. there is very little incentive to register, although if there is enough 
  50. interest I will produce a much improved version (I have some ideas, any
  51. suggestions welcome!), and send it out free to registered users.

  53. Please try to make the effort to register. Doing so will encourage me improve 
  54. 4 Play and to produce more quality Windows products (suggestions welcome!).
